Great first question! Hello, peeps. I'm author, artist, and business owner Jenn Shon. Sometimes in the writing community I'm also known as Jenn Flynn-Shon. I've been writing for over 40 years (don't tell anyone how old that makes me,) and I'm a full-time creative. 

I've been in this publishing game a long time now. My first book hit the market in 2012. Back then, I researched my name to both buy a url, and to put on my first-ever novel! Turns out, I'm not the only Jenn Shon out there. Hello, fellow Jenn, Jen, and Jennifers! I didn't want to cause confusion, so I used the hyphenate. In 2024, I decided to put my real name on the cover of my real book, You Classy Beach. Going forward, I'll use my real name. If that changes, so will this FAQ.

You better believe it! As of late fall 2026 I have twelve titles published through Writesy Press, LLC. A micro-press publishing company which I own and operate. Taking some inspiration from Taylor Swift, I'm intending to rewrite, re-cover, and re-release my 7 back-catalog fiction titles as second editions, starting in 2027.

Yes! In addition to my latest sassy essay collection: GenX Radio, The no skips auditory story of my life, (Sept, 2026) I have 12 titles nearing market-ready. Four to complete my current fiction series (The Shaw McLeary Mystery Series, and the California Dreamin' Series,) as well as 2 more essay collections, a new fiction series (paranormal rom-com Christmas,) and a few how-to books are all in the works. I expect to write and release these titles through 2029. And don't plan to stop anytime thereafter.

As of late fall 2026, my work can be found on Lulu (paperback only) and Amazon (paperback, ebook,) however, the re-writes I mentioned above are the titles that currently live on 'Zon. Once I complete the second editions, those books will come down and will not return to the site. By EOY 2027 Writesy Press, LLC will matriculate all publishing to Lulu.

Possibly. I don't rule out publishing ebook again--and Lulu has an ebook distribution channel--but I don't want to be held hostage to a large company who can change my set price simply because they decide to (*cough*'Zon*cough*). I maintain full control on Lulu and my target audience.
